Biography
Dr. Muneesh Sethi is currently serving as Dean of Research & Development at COER University, Roorkee. With an academic and research career spanning over 24 years, Dr. Sethi has established himself as a prominent figure in mechanical and thermal engineering, particularly in the domain of solar thermal energy. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur and has made significant contributions to both academic research and institutional development.
Dr. Sethi’s research primarily focuses on solar thermal systems, solar air heaters, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics. He has published over 50 research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals indexed in SCI and Scopus, accumulating more than 1,900 citations, with an h-index of 19 and an i10-index of 25. He has also contributed five book chapters and holds ten patents in the field of renewable energy and engineering design. His leadership has also driven several institutional projects, including the implementation of solar steam cooking systems and green campus initiatives, many of which were funded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). Dr. Sethi also has a growing research interest in green hydrogen as a sustainable energy alternative, particularly in its integration with solar energy systems. His expertise in renewable technologies and editorial contributions make him a strong advocate for advancing clean energy research through scholarly publishing.
