Biography

Dr. Pankaj Bhatt is a distinguished researcher in pharmaceutical sciences, specializing in polysaccharide modification, nano-drug delivery systems, and colon targeting. He earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from Gurukula Kangri in 2025, focusing on colon-targeted drug delivery devices. Prior to this, he completed his Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics at Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, and his Bachelor of Pharmacy at Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), Haridwar. With over twelve years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Bhatt currently serves as a Professor at the College of Pharmacy, COER University, Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. A dedicated academic mentor, he has successfully guided 18 M.Pharm students through complex research projects. Furthermore, he has a proven track record in NBA and NAAC accreditation, spearheading Outcome-Based Education (OBE) frameworks to align departmental metrics with national standards. His technical expertise encompasses deep proficiency in essential pharmaceutical research software such as Design-Expert 13, Origin Pro, DD Solver, and GraphPad Prism. As a prolific researcher, his updated metrics reflect a significant impact, boasting an h-index of 36, an i10-index of 46+, and over 3,081 citations. His scholarly output features numerous high-impact publications, book chapters, and multiple registered design patents, alongside a published utility patent. He actively acts as a peer reviewer for prestigious journals, including Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice, European Journal of Pharmacology, Materials Today Advances, Molecular Therapy, and Next Materials. Dr. Bhatt also demonstrates a strong track record of securing substantial research funding; as a Principal Investigator, he secured a ₹5,00,000 grant from the Visvesvaraya Research Promotion Scheme. Additionally, he is currently an investigator (Co-PI) on an ongoing DST-SERB grant worth ₹80,00,000 focused on a "Hybrid Generative Artificial Intelligence Framework for Multi-Target Anti-Cancer Drug Discovery." His consistent dedication has been recognized with notable accolades, including the Best Researcher Award 2024 and the CV Raman Award 2022. Moreover, he remains a registered pharmacist who extends his educational outreach by mentoring over 24,150 subscribers on his dedicated YouTube channel.
