COER University's Nursing program takes learning beyond textbooks with a dedicated suite of simulated clinical labs.
Anatomy & Physiology
The pre clinical science laboratory is designed with the purpose of helping the students to acquire knowledge of the normal structure and function of various human body systems and to identify any deviation from normal health in order to render effective nursing care.
The aim of the laboratory is to educate the students to understand the normal body parts with use of models, specimens etc. and to co relate its function. This will enhance the student’s ability to understand the various disease conditions.
10+Beds available in Lab
Fundamental of Nursing
Fundamental of nursing course is designed to help the students to develop and understanding the philosophy, objective, theories and process of nursing in various clinical settings. For which we have well equipped lab with 10 beds.
Obstetric and Gynecology Lab
This laboratory provide firsthand experience in assessment of antenatal case, intranatal case, post natal case, neonatal assessment and demonstration of nursing care and handling problems accordingly.
Child Health Nursing
This lab provides solid foundation for pediatric nursing i.e. firsthand experience to handling neonates and children with the help of simulated model (manikins) and also performing related nursing procedures, before going to actual clinical settings.
Computer Lab
This course designed for students to develop basic understandings of the use of computers and its applications in nursing. This computer lab attached to the library and has facilities to access various journals through helinet.
Nutritional Lab
The Nutritional Lab at COER University is a dedicated area created to give students real-world, hands-on experience in dietetics and nutrition. A variety of instructional resources, including anatomical models, educational posters, flash cards, and flip charts, are available in the lab to support nutrition education and awareness. The lab provides a variety of cooking equipment and kitchen utensils, allowing students to create customized dishes that cater to the dietary requirements of people with various conditions in addition to theoretical instruction. This facility facilitates experiential learning by enabling students to use what they have learned in authentic healthcare and wellness situations.
Community Health Nursing
The Community Health Nursing Lab at COER University is a specialized facility designed to provide students with practical training in community-based healthcare. This lab is equipped with a wide range of educational aids including anatomical models, informative posters, flash cards, and flip charts that support effective teaching and learning. It simulates real-life community settings to prepare students for fieldwork and public health nursing. The lab also includes equipment for demonstrating home-based care techniques, hygiene practices, and nutrition education. With hands-on exposure, students gain the skills needed to assess, plan, and implement health programs, thereby enhancing their readiness for serving diverse populations.
Microbiology
Microbiology lab helps a healthcare professional to have better understanding of these microorganisms so that a patient whose immune system lowers down and is always at risk of being affected by any microbe, can remain safe and healthy when he is in the hands of a nursing professional.
